Take Action to Safeguard Your Outlook: Urgent Security Advisory

Recently, both the Australian Cyber Security Centre [1] and Microsoft's Security Response Center [2]  have posted about a security vulnerability that has been identified in Microsoft Office Outlook, which could potentially compromise your data security. But don't worry, we're here to guide you through the steps to protect your Outlook and keep your information safe.

Your security is our top priority, and this vulnerability could allow cyber attackers to remotely execute code on your system, putting your emails, contacts, and sensitive information at risk. It's essential to take action to avoid any such incident.

Steps for Immediate Protection:

1. Check for Updates:
   • Open your Outlook program and navigate to the "File" tab.
   • Look for the "Office Account" or "Account" option.
   • Click on "Office Updates" or "Update Options" to check for available updates.
   • Follow the prompts to download and install any updates detected.
2. Apply Updates:
   • If updates are available, proceed with the installation without delay.
   • Confirm the installation if prompted, and enter your administrator password if necessary.
   • Let the updates complete the installation process uninterrupted.
3. Reboot Your System:
