Set Up Your Email Account in Outlook (Windows)


To set up your email account with Microsoft Outlook, you have two options:

Option 1:

Open Outlook → File (drop-down menu) → Account SettingsAccount Settings → E-mail → New

Option 2:

  1. Click on the windows Start Button → Control Panel → Mail → Show Profiles.
    If you cannot find the Mail icon in Control Panel, please try the following:
    On the left side of Control Panel, select Classic View. you should see the Mail applet directly in the list of icons.
  2. Click on show profile > double-click on  your profile and then click Email Accounts.
  3. Select your profile name and click New.

 

Set Up Your Email Account in Outlook (Mac)

Go to OutlookPreferencesAccounts. You will be forwarded to fill in your account information:

 

Email Settings: 


Email address: enter your email (user@yourdomain.com)
Password: enter the password for your email account
Username: enter your email (user@yourdomain.com)


Type: IMAP
Incoming mail server: mail1.domaincentral.com.au
IMAP Port: 993
IMAP Security: SSL/TLS
Outgoing mail server: mail1.domaincentral.com.au
Outgoing Port: 587
Authentication: Normal password
Security: STARTTLS

Type:  POP3
Incoming mail server: mail1.domaincentral.com.au
POP3 Port: 995
POP3 Security: SSL/TLS
Outgoing mail server: mail1.domaincentral.com.au
Outgoing Port: 587
NOTE - If setting up Outlook on Android and iPhone, the Outgoing Port needs to be 465
Authentication: Normal password
Security: STARTTLS

In More Settings, go to Outgoing server tab and check the option My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server

When you are ready, click Add Account and the configuration will be complete.

 

Set Up Your Email Account in Mac Mail:


To configure your email account to work on the Mail app on your Mac:

  1. Open the Mail app
  2. From the Mail drop-down menu, choose Add Account → Other Mail Account → Continue
  3. Enter your name, email address (user@yourdomain.com) & the password for the email account
  4. Click Sign In
  5. Continue with the server settings:

    Email Address: it should be pre-filled with the email you've entered in the previous window
    Username: enter your email (user@yourdomain.com)
    Password: the password for your email account

    Account Type: set to IMAP
    Incoming mail server: mail1.domaincentral.com.au
    IMAP Port: 993
    IMAP Security: SSL/TLS
    Outgoing mail server: mail1.domaincentral.com.au
    Outgoing Port: 587
    Authentication: Normal password
    Security: STARTTLS
  6. Click Sign In once you complete filling in the information.
  7. On the next step, you can choose the apps you want to use with this email account.
    Select your preferred apps, click Done and you will be able to use your new email account on Mac Mail.
